Yogis have used mantras for thousands of years to purify the mind and seek deeper states of consciousness. In this course, students will explore several Sanskrit mantras through chanting, kirtan, meditation, asana and pranayama. Students will learn and apply techniques for deepening their yoga and meditation practice as well as simple tools to integrate mantra into daily activities to make life more peaceful.
This intensive is open to anyone interested in yoga and Mantra either for application to personal growth, healing arts work or yoga instruction; it is an all levels course.
By completing the program, participants will:
- Learn the meaning and application of many Sanskrit chants and mantras
- Learn to incorporate mantras into the practices of yoga, pranayama, and seated & walking meditation
- Learn to build a home practice as well as use Mantra in yoga classes
