Anna Branam

Anna Branam, RYT200

Anna was led to Indiana University from Atlanta in 2008 by her athletic career as a rower. At IU, she studied as a Health and Fitness Specialist in the School of Public Health and graduated with her kinesiology degree in 2012. After graduation, Anna began her career as a professional personal trainer and studio owner.

Anna began a regular practice in yoga in 2008 to supplement her training for rowing and hasn’t stopped since. In 2017, Anna became a registered yoga teacher, certified by Nourishing Heart Yoga with Matece Skow. She shares weekly yoga classes that fuse functional training with traditional yogic sequencing and philosophy.

Anna’s career in movement is based on her love of empowering others in their strength and meeting students where they are both physically and mentally. Her yoga classes are centered around breath work, functional movement, and postural alignment as she works hand in hand with students to build their strength and cultivate a deep sense of awareness and equilibrium.

Anna has volunteered her time at Beacon and currently serves as a Recovery leader at church as she believes everyone is someone who is worthy of love, healing, and respect.
