Winter Solstice Stillness
Jesica Conger
Saturday, December 20th
from 3 – 5 pm

Restorative Yoga, Massage, Yoga Nidra, and Sacred Circle.
The winter solstice signifies a time of deep rest.
It is a transitional moment when we have the least amount of daylight of any time of the year. At the moment of the winter solstice, the Sun appears lowest in the sky, with the least angle to Earth, and we receive less sunlight and warmth. The days are shorter and the nights are longer. It is when the wheel turns from autumn to winter.
On the winter solstice, we call forth the light to carry us toward spring. It is a time of deep reflection and tending to ourselves and one another. Come build the fire in our hearts to carry each other through the winter months.
What to expect:
Candlelit restorative yoga poses that tend to the heart. Gentle kneading and grounding compressions in the poses. Yoga nidra that guides us into the cavern of the heart. Reflection on our hearts truth and desires. Sharing what we will bring forth to the light for ourselves in the coming year.
What do I bring?
We will provide the yoga props necessary for the class including: bolsters, blanket, blocks, sandbag, strap and eye pillow. Please bring your yoga mat. You are most welcome to bring bolsters from home if that is your preference.
You may also bring a water bottle and socks or layered clothing as the body temperature drops during relaxation.
Parking
There is free street parking available in the front and to the sides of the building. Additionally, there is street parking behind the building on Southern Drive.
