Advanced Asana Lab Series with Matece
Arm Balances + Core Integration
Arm balances can feel intimidating to many students, yet they are not about arm strength alone. They require an integrated relationship between the hands, shoulders, core, and the subtle shifting of weight.
In this workshop we will slow things down and explore how arm balances are built from the ground up. Through demonstration, partner observation, and progressive exercises, we will break down the mechanics behind poses such as Crane, Crow, Side Crow, Flying Pigeon, Eka and Dwi Pada Koundinyasana.
Rather than flowing continuously, we will pause often to analyze, experiment, and build understanding. You’ll learn how to approach these poses in stages, finding accessible entry points wherever you are in your pracitce, while also learning pathways toward more advanced variations.
This workshop is ideal for curious practitioners and yoga teachers who want to better understand how to do (and teach) arm balances safely, progressively, and confidently.
