One Year Program: Coursework
Our Coursework consists of 12 weekends, once per month for a year. Additional time is required to complete the 100 Hour Evidence Informed Seva Yoga Project and the 20 Hour Mentorship. These will be scheduled seperately.
Students are required to attend every session included in the Coursework. We understand that students have important commitments outside of the classroom. Should extenuating circumstances impact attendance, students are permitted to miss a class. It is the responsibility of the student to pick up any missed learning material by coordinating with a cohort to record and/or take notes during class. If you foresee having to miss over 3 weekends of the Coursework, we suggest waiting until the following year to register.

Matece Skow, E-RYT500, Founder of Nourishing Heart Yoga, has been fostering compassionate growth and healing for students and clients for the past 22 years. She facilitates safe and nurturing environments for transformation of body and heart through the practices of yoga, breath-work, meditation, essential oils, hands on healing and massage.
Matece directs and teaches the Nourishing Heart Yoga 200 Hour and 300 Advanced Hour Yoga Teacher Training programs. By design, she works with small groups, so as to develop close relationships with students and trainees. She devotes her attention and energy to meeting students where they are, helping each individual experience yoga in their own way, according to their own understanding and capability.
An avid traveler, Matece has led numerous international and domestic retreats and trainings. Through her travels and online yoga classes, she has had the pleasure of sharing yoga with people all over the globe. Returning to the midwest from northern California where she taught and studied yoga in the Silicon Valley for 8 years, she currently enjoys the adventure of being more rooted in her town of Bloomington, Indiana, with her husband and young son.
Matece has had the immeasurable honor to work closely with MaDar for the past 7 years. This relationship has been the greatest source of direct spiritual understanding and embodiment. Matece humbly dedicates her heart, and the Grace that flows through it, in service of Divine Love. May we hold all our parts with compassion and kindness. May we gently move toward our Fullness, living our highest capacity to be United, Joyous and Loving humans!
Denise is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, a faculty member at the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland, and a trained Gestalt therapist who has been in private practice for over twenty years. She is also a yoga instructor, which has helped her develop a focus on the intimate connection between physical processes and emotional states. We can achieve change and growth, she believes, when we learn how to be more present in the moment and more present in our bodies.
We all have people and events in our lives that influence how we make decisions. Many of these influences affect us on a conscious level, while others operate in ways that we don’t always realize. Denise’s approach to therapy is to help shine light on the latter — to bring them into the open so that you can make thoughtful decisions about how you want to respond to them. She has a deep respect for the strength and resilience of the human spirit, and she believes that healing is a process made possible through kindness, respect, patience, and acceptance of another person. Working with you, she will help you explore the impact of your life experiences.
She creates a safe, nonjudgmental, and supportive environment, where clients experience being seen, heard and validated. With sensitivity and compassion she supports individuals to find their inner wisdom and truth and begin to make changes in their lives from that new empowered place. Her goal is not merely adjustment but growth, finding not merely a cure but wholeness of self.
