Kirtan: Communal Singing & Reverie
(90 minutes)
Step into the heart of yoga’s devotional path through this immersive evening of music, mantra, and shared presence.
Kirtan is a practice of call-and-response chanting rooted in Bhakti Yoga, the yoga of devotion. Through sacred sound and communal singing, we soften the mind, open the heart, and remember ourselves as part of something larger.
No singing experience is needed, and you don’t need to know the words.
We’ll provide a simple chant sheet to help you follow along, so you can drop in with ease and confidence.
This is not about performance, it is about participation, listening, and allowing yourself to be carried by rhythm, melody, and community. You’re also invited to move your body; to sway, rock, or even dance with the rhythms as they arise.
Together, we will chant, rest in moments of stillness, and enter a space of reverie where sound becomes a bridge inward.
This 90-minute experience allows us to settle more deeply into the practice, giving space for both uplifting energy and quiet integration.
Featuring:
Sarah Flint (Prem Jyoti) – vocals & harmonium
Matece Skow – backup vocals
Charlie Jesseph – guitar
Heather Craig – violin
+ special guest musicians
Each instrument and voice weaves together to create a rich, layered soundscape, inviting you into both connection and contemplation.
Whether you are drawn to the devotional aspects of yoga, curious about mantra, or simply longing to be held in music and community, this is an open invitation to come as you are and join in the experience.
Let yourself be carried. Let yourself be still. Let yourself be part of the song.
